Things Are Tough All Over..
There's been a bit going on, so have been a bit slack on the art front and in a bit of a rut.
It was a bit late, but managed to finish off a little mixed medium painting for Ella’s womb evacuation day.
I really was unsure of what to make/what direction to go, so I tried a bit of everything I had been contemplating and potentially wanting to do.
By far the hardest part of the whole ordeal/process was painting the glass. Although, having a barrier over the picture beneath was pretty forgiving when it came to some mistakes made 🤣
In the end it was compiled of some watercolours, ink, sharpies & acrylic paint, followed by woodburning the frame of the painting, extending the swirl from the artwork.
In regards to what's been going on, it's pretty absurd, farfetched, comical & stressful. I am aware it seems quite unbelievable the luck & run I have had, but it's the way she goes.
Since closing down the tatty shack, my condition (spina bifida occulta, I happen to be one of the adults who is experiencing the negative potential of the spinal deformity.) has been a bit up and down but gradually getting more problemsome. I had kept going for a bit at a reduced capacity, but had a pretty major flare up and some stuff go down in my perso life…..
Leading to the most recent series of unfortunate events….I recently had another flare up, which I am now having to actively keep an eye on and some upcoming specialists visits. To which I have hit a wall in regards to my medical records.
Not long ago, Ella & I’s storage unit burned down (some guy was smoking while making drugs at the storage facility.), it contained pretty much all our stuff while we try to find more permanent residence…..including physical copies I had of x-rays, scans, etc.
This wouldn't really be a problem, if a medical clinic I went to over the course of a few years hadn't closed down abruptly recently, with records not being passed on or added to online med records/patient info.
In looking into this, a few holes in my medical history have popped up.
These records are necessary for further treatment, etc. leaving me in limbo for upto 16 weeks chasing them up through freedoms of information requests. This has all been a bit much to do, and I definitely can't do all the things I was, thus I have had to put a lot of my projects on hiatus or pass them on. Having a lot of my indoor gardening and computer gear go up in the unit is another set back to it all.
I am still around & arting, but have reduced the pace and can be reached via email 🫶🤙
